Tariffs define the rate structures that energy retailers charge for electricity, gas, and water. They are used to validate invoice charges and calculate expected costs. UMS Tariffs list showing tariff structures in a data grid

Tariffs list

The Tariffs page displays all tariff structures in your organisation. Tariffs are linked to connections and agreements, and define the pricing components (supply charges, usage rates, demand charges, and so on) that apply to each meter.

Key concepts

  • Tariff Structure — The overall rate plan (for example, “Business Time of Use”)
  • Tariff Components — Individual charge types within a tariff (for example, peak rate, off-peak rate, supply charge)
  • Effective Dates — When the tariff rates apply
Tariffs are essential for accurate invoice validation and brokerage calculations.
